Statistical approach to time-to-impact estimation suitable for real-time near-sensor implementation

چکیده

We present a method to estimate the time-to-impact (TTI) from sequence of images. The is based on detecting and tracking local extremal points. Their endurance within between pixels measured, accumulated, used achieve TTI. This method, which improves an earlier proposal, entirely different ordinary optical flow technique allows for fast low-complex processing. inspired by insects, have some TTI capability without possibility compute high-complex flow. further suitable near-sensor image processing architectures.
